Community Sauna Baths (Hackney Wick)
Heat, cold and the same faces on your regular slot. It becomes a weekly reset faster than any gym habit, and the £23 a month regulars club exists because people do exactly that.
What it is
A not-for-profit sauna yard at the old Eastway Baths: six wood-fired saunas, one electric, cold plunges down to 3 degrees, and named standing sessions that give specific communities their own slot.
When
yes: daily; open Mon-Sun with standing community sessions (Trans Sauna alternate Mondays, Mamma Swim Wed, 50+ Women's Thu, POC Sauna first Thu monthly)
Where
Hackney Wick (Eastway Baths)
Who it’s for
Anyone who wants the sweat-and-plunge ritual without spa prices, and people who want a session that is explicitly theirs, from the 50+ women's hour to the monthly POC sauna.
First time
Book online; off-peak weekday sessions start at £9.90 for an hour. Bring flip flops, a towel and water, and do not be a hero in the plunge.
